The celebration of love is a time-honoured tradition and there is no single event more beautiful, romantic or joyous…and potentially more stressful…than your wedding day!

The Old Church in Meeanee has a fascinating history dating back 150 years to its first incarnation in 1862 when the missionaries began planting vines and cultivating the land around St Mary’s. The brothers were popular, industrious and very successful farmers, sharing their skills and ideas freely. Their warm hospitality, easy friendship and legendary culinary skills made the mission a favourite stopping place for travellers and it is in their esteemed footsteps that this tradition continues today.

The vision for The Old Church has been realised by creating an unsurpassed blend of nostalgia and chic indulgence. Set amongst the vines, with a stunning aspect to the Ruahines, Kaweka’s and the setting sun, the unswerving attention to detail and luxurious décor make this a stunning Hawke’s Bay landmark. The unique experience of The Old Church will be a memory to treasure for years to come.

Your ceremony and reception may be held in The Old Church restaurant which can cater for up to 200 guests.

This stylish renovated villa, set amidst graceful surroundings next to The Old Church, is enhanced by tall trees, ornate gardens & a beautiful fountain. Its 4 bedrooms & 4 bathrooms provide luxury accommodation for a romantic escape or the perfect venue for wedding parties who don’t want to venture too far on their wedding day.

This renovated villa in Te Awanga is in the middle of a farm park surrounded by vines. It has been lavishly decorated with all 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms individually themed to exude opulence. A tennis court, swimming pool, state of the art outdoor kitchen and beautifully landscaped grounds with the views to Cape Kidnappers complete the feeling of ultimate luxury.

Whether you want a secluded weekend or a glamorous and intimate wedding, Parkhill Estate will satisfy all your desires.

This is an idyllic setting catering for weddings for up to 60 guests and accommodating 12 for an overnight stay.

Wine and food choices are important in setting the mood for your wedding. We will help you create a perfect marriage of flavours for your reception using a fabulous array of Hawke’s Bay’s finest produce. Our professional team will assist you in every way possible to customise the catering to your specific requirements. You can rest assured everything will be of the highest standard and the menu will be as fabulous as the surroundings.

The gastronomic ingenuity will be matched with the best wines this region has to offer. We are a fully licensed restaurant with wine, cocktails and other beverages available at competitive prices.

Set menu prices will range from $65 per head (but the sky is the limit if you want to be completely extravagant!). This can include canapés served before dinner, a selection of entrees and main courses, desserts, tea and coffee. Liaising with our head chef and event manager, every detail will be confirmed before your special day so you can relax and enjoy!

A deposit of $1,000 is required to confirm your wedding date booking. The balance of payment is due no later than the day following the wedding. All cancellations must be notified in writing and if received at least 6 months prior to the wedding date, the deposit will be refunded.

Booking your wedding with us ensures you have exclusive use of the venue from 5.00pm to 1.00am during our summer months and 4.00pm to 1.00am throughout the winter period.. This includes the main church, conservatory and garden however an earlier ceremony can be accommodated in our villa garden next door. We have a wonderful range of decor options to create the perfect look for your special day.

There are no costs additional to your food and beverages, it is all inclusive. Let us do the work to make your dreams come true!
